About Us
The National Muslim Athletic Association was founded in August of 2006. The NMAA staff has been organizing and directing sporting events in Orlando, Florida for over 5 years. Our events have grown since that time and with this growth the need to expand operations became critical. With this need in mind, a new board of directors was created, a reinforced vision and mission was added, and NMAA has now expanded its goals to a national audience. NMAA has a mission of using sports to bring communities together to build the bonds of brotherhood, as well as educate our Non-Muslim friends about Islam. NMAA plans on achieving this by using sporting events, special events, guest speakers and partnerships to reach this goal.
